A message

From the headteacher

Our pupils are not their disability, they are scientists, poets and athletes. Our job is to give them the tools, the confidence and the formation to compete on equal footing once they leave us.

The Praecip verdict

East Africa's most established blind school, outsized impact on the children it serves

Salama transforms lives. Pupils enter often having never been to school; they leave reading Braille fluently, navigating independently, and competitive for inclusive secondary placements. Pastoral care is exceptional.

As a primary-and-lower-secondary specialist, the school transitions students out before A-Level. Onward placement support is good but families should plan for the transition early. Academic ceilings are limited by very small class sizes and a focused mission, strong students should aim to move at S5.
