Lead the Year 10–11 IGCSE programme across all examined subjects at ISU. The Coordinator owns the IGCSE timetable, mock-exam cycle, subject-lead line management and CIE registration workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Y10–Y11 academic calendar, exam-entry deadlines and CIE candidate registrations.
  • Line-manage 14 subject leads on IGCSE delivery and coordinate weekly subject-area meetings.
  • Quality-assure mock-exam papers and analyse cohort outcomes against the previous three years.
  • Counsel students and parents on subject combinations and A-Level / IB transitions.
  • Lead the IGCSE strand of the annual self-evaluation and external accreditation review.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Five+ years teaching a Cambridge IGCSE subject, with at least two as subject lead or year-group lead.
  • Demonstrable record of cohort-level outcomes at A* / A.
  • Working understanding of the IB Diploma transition pathway from IGCSE.

Nice to have

  • CIE examiner or moderator experience.
  • A-Level coordination experience in addition to IGCSE.
